Black DLC Liquid Flow Control Ring for Taifun GT IV

This replacement LFC (Liquid Flow Control) Ring for your Taifun GT IV is finished in a black DLC coating, for a rich lustrous look while having exceptional surface hardness for enhanced wear resistance and durability.

DLC stands for Diamond-Like Carbon, a unique coating process that displays some properties similar to diamond, such as the hardness and medically inert, while bonding extremely well to materials like stainless steel. This means a high durability that does not scratch, chip, nor wear off like other coatings would, on stainless steel. Applied in a process somewhat similar to PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), DLC is an even more resistant (but more expensive) finishing process. These are the only two methods known to reliably, and durably blacken stainless steel.

All exterior visible surfaces of the part are fully coated. Due to production reasons, there is the possibility that some interior surfaces (especially with the liquid control and airflow control rings) are not completely coated or sometimes not coated at all. There may also be the appearance of a rainbow effect on these surfaces. These deviations can also be different for identical components, but do not represent any impairment.
