Taifun® GAIA RBA & Boro Tank Set by SmokerStore

The Taifun® GAIA RBA is SmokerStore's first foray into the Boro Tank ecosystem, and is specifically designed to meet the demands of a sophisticated MTL vaping experience in a borosilicate tank system. The Taifun Gaia's understated elegance and ease of use are its defining characteristics. The liquid control is automatically closed when the tank is opened, and the RBA unit can be easily removed from the bottom of the tank at any time. Important Note: The Taifun GAIA can only be used with its own tank! No adapter is required to dry-burn the coil on the Taifun GAIA. It features a standard 510 thread that is integrated into the base of the RBA, and is compatible with any build platform and mod.

With this dedicated MTL-style RBA, the Taifun GAIA comes included with a proprietary Boro Tank to fit the unique sizing of the Taifun Gaia RBA, and was developed in conjunction with the dicodes BORO mod to present a fully optimized package when these two products are combined together. However, the Taifun Gaia can be used with any mod that accepts a Boro tank.

The development and testing phase of the Gaia RBA took far longer than originally planned, but the priority was clear: no compromises when it came to the vaping experience and usability. That is not an easy task within the very limited confines of Boro devices. Given the limitations available, it was a decision to ensure that the Taifun Gaia Boro RBA could only be paired to Taifun's own Boro tanks to ensure a no-compromise approach could be made for the utmost performance and usability. It was simply a deal-breaker to not be able to quickly access the coil without having to empty the tank, and to fiddle around with the small components. Taifun's Boro Tank has a larger hole at the bottom to allow users the ability to remove the base from below at any time - without emptying the tank. This further allows another feature to be added: when the tank's front glass is pushed down, the Liquid Control (LC) of the Taifun Gaia Boro RBA is automatically closed.
The Gaia RBA's deck also has 510 threading machined directly onto it, allowing for direct 510 connection without having to keep an adapter in your build kit, or worry about loss of another small part.

Another focus of development was the avoidance of annoying condensation build-up within the Boro nest of your mod. Unfortunately, due to the inherent nature of AIO devices, this is not entirely easy, and is only really satisfactory with completely exposed tanks that are external to the device. But that is not really in the spirit of an All-In-One mod, as the charm of these mods is that everything is contained within the device itself, which is where problems arise with regards to condensation build-up.

The Taifun Gaia Boro RBA was developed specifically to fully optimize a perfect mating with the recently announced >> dicodes BORO mod <<. The Taifun Gaia RBA and its associated Boro Tank will also fit into the Billet Box as well as any other Boro Mod that has a receptacle for the Boro Tank, but the new dicodes BORO mod has a larger air opening in the front plate, which is where the Taifun Gaia RBA optimizes the air interaction to help prevent too much vapour condensation from accumulating within the mod.

The airflow of the Taifun Gaia Boro RBA is controlled by a rigid but replaceable air screw at the bottom. Three screws are included in the scope of the delivery:

• 1.0 mm
• 1.2 mm
• 1.5 mm

A >> 0.8 mm << and >> 1.8 mm << air screw are also available as a separate purchase item.

The air screw has been designed to be interchangeable with the use of the front plate of the new dicodes BORO mod. It has four air inlets to reduce airflow noise while also ensuring ideal and even airflow to the coil, regardless of what mod it is used in, or where the air inlet ports on the mod are fed to the RBA. The design also helps to prevent condensation.

The chimney has been designed so that your drip tips or 510 adapters do not rotate or lift it off the deck. However, in order to further improve the vaping experience, Taifun has developed their own drip tip adapters for both the new dicodes BORO mod as well as for the Billet Box (the dicodes BORO mod has a proprietary threading). These drip tip adapters are available in either raised versions with classic Taifun knurling for tool-free installation, as well as flush-fit variations. In addition to this, there are two further variations of adapters available:

Each Taifun Boreas Chopstick can be screwed directly into the dedicated adapter, and together with the chimney of the Gaia, creates a continuous gap-free 3.5mm air flow channel to the coil for a very smooth chain of air flow.

Taifun's flush-fit adapters without the exposed knurling are also notched with the perfect sizing to allow users to use the front plate of the dicodes BORO mod as a "key" to screw/unscrew the nut.

Further talk of the chimney: the Taifun Gaia Boro RBA is equipped with a round bell installed. However, extensive tests revealed a clearly noticeable differences in taste with certain flavours when using a conical bell as well, and as such, an optional purchase conical chimney/bell is available. Which one is better? That is for you to decide, and again, it depends on the flavours that you vape. Other brands have noted that tobacco flavours tend to taste better with conical evaporation chamber bells, but again, it is totally up to your personal preference as to which you prefer.

Taifun® GAIA Overview:

Active Liquid Control & Side Fill System

To activate the Liquid Control, simply slide down the window. The movement of the glass automatically locks the liquid access and releases the tank at the top for easy refilling. To open the Liquid Control, the LC sleeve must be manually pushed upwards.

The Boro tank used for the Taifun® GAIA is manufactured by Taifun in Germany, and have a larger recess in the bottom to allow easy removal of the RBA at any time.

Ease-of-use

The Taifun® GAIA is designed for ease of use. The draw resistance can be adjusted to individual needs using different air pins. Various air pins with diameters of 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, and 1.8mm are available. The 1.0mm, 1.2mm, and 1.5mm air pins are included, while the 0.8mm and 1.2mm air pins are separate purchase items. To change the pins, the base is removed, and the pins can be screwed in from below.

The Taifun® GAIA is designed for discerning users who prefer a reliable and high-quality MTL rebuildable atomizer in the borosilicate glass tube range. The GAIA truly shines when used with complex and demanding e-liquids. The evaporation chamber can be replaced with the optional conical chamber, allowing it to handle an even wider range of e-liquids.

Special Notes:

Due to its specific requirements, the Taifun® GAIA cannot be used in standard format Boro Tanks, and requires the use of its own GAIA Boro Tank. Two additional glass window gaskets are included separately packaged. These gaskets serve as an alternative to the glass seal inside the tank, and offer different resistance/seal strengths. Replacing them allows for different levels of resistance when sliding the glass. Please ensure the glass gaskets are kept moist. After prolonged periods of disuse, the glass may become stiff, so it is highly recommended to either pre-lubricate the gasket before reinstalling the glass for storage, OR, storing with the glass window removed.

The Taifun® GAIA was specifically designed for use with the dicodes® BORO Mod and the Billet Box, however, can also be used in any device that accepts standard format Boro Tanks. Separate drip tip adapters are available for both the dicodes BORO Mod as well as the Billet Box, enabling the use of the Taifun Boreas drip tip chopsticks, which will create a continuous 3.5mm bore airflow channel from the Gaia's chamber all the way to the user's mouth, and offering the user the option of easy removal of the adapters thanks to convenient knurling on the relevant models. Please note that different adapters are required for the dicodes BORO Mod and the Billet Box, as each of the two platforms use slightly different threading specifications for the mouth piece connector.

The glass shown with the Taifun® laser engraving in the photos did not meet Taifun's expectations for durability, and as such, it is included free-of-charge while supplies last, and is not covered by any warranty claims. An alternate glass with no engravings will also be included, which will be the standard included glass. Consider the "Taifun" etched glass to be an early-adopter bonus item.

Also included is a Taifun® Space Coil 1.7Ω, but it will not be pre-installed from factory. The user must install it before first use.

As standard with ALL Taifun devices for all time, all seals, O-rings, and gaskets come pre-lubricated with 100% unflavoured vegetable glycerin to keep the seals moist during assembly, storage, and transport. It is NOT a sign of a used product! It is a sign of protection of your investment. Too often, high end consumers receive high end products that have torn seals out of the box because the manufacturer had installed everything with dry seals. Taifun always pre-lubricates your seals so that this problem never occurs!

Should you decide to fully disassemble and clean this neutral liquid off, you are free to do so, but it is highly recommended to re-lubricate the seals with your own liquid when re-assembling.

WARNING: It is highly recommend that you fully clean out this product before the first time you use it. While the factory does a decent job at removing dust, shavings, machining lubricants and greases, there is still the potential for trace elements to remain, and it is best recommended that you do an additional cleaning to meet your standard of cleanliness.
