Black DLC Storm 2019 Tank Shield Cover for Taifun GT IV

This replacement "Storm 2019" Tank Shield covers the glass tank of your Taifun GT IV, and acts as either a replacement part or to change up the look of your tank with this 2019 updated tank shield style.

This version is finished in a Black DLC coating for a rich and lustrous look with hard-wearing properties.

DLC stands for Diamond-Like Carbon, a unique coating process that displays some properties similar to diamond, such as the hardness and medically inert, while bonding extremely well to materials like stainless steel. This means a high durability that does not scratch, chip, nor wear off like other coatings would, on stainless steel. Applied in a process somewhat similar to PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), DLC is an even more resistant (but more expensive) finishing process. These are the only two methods known to reliably, and durably blacken stainless steel.

All exterior visible surfaces of the part are fully coated. Due to production reasons, there is the possibility that some interior surfaces (especially with the liquid control and airflow control rings) are not completely coated or sometimes not coated at all. There may also be the appearance of a rainbow effect on these surfaces. These deviations can also be different for identical components, but do not represent any impairment.
