The Legacy by Hussar Vapes is an atomizer that Hussar Vapes is a bottom feed ready rebuildable dripping atomizer designed to suit vapers who use fruitier/fresher e-liquids while maintaining a lot of custard profile.
Airflow has been increased compared to the Hussar RDA 1.0, where the Legacy has two 7.14 mm2 air intake slots, totaling 14.28 mm2 in comparison to the Hussar RDA 1.0 which had two 4.6 mm2 air intakes for a total of 9.32 mm2 .
Building on the Legacy is easy and flexible, thanks to the 4-screw system that allows thoughtless single coils builds. This aids in not having to think about which way to wind the coil legs, either clockwise or counter-clockwise will work!
Screws have been specially designed and custom machined for the Legacy. In order to deliver a much more pleasant building experience, Hussar Vapes tested many different solutions and materials, deciding on a 1.8mm wide flat surface beneath the head of the screw to allow builders to easily use any wire desired without a need to bend it. Stainless steel is used for these screws in order to ensure longevity and reliability.
The Legacy is using a feeding system as seen before on the Hussar RDA 1.0 but improved; when the squonk bottle is pushed, the liquid is released from the sides of the pin location to saturate the cotton wick on both ends. Juice wells have also been widened in the deck of the Legacy to ensure more vaping time between each squonk. Excess liquid gets drained back through the pin, and approximately 1 to 1.5 mL of liquid is left in the atomizer deck (depending on how much cotton is placed in the well. A user can enjoy as much as 20 hits before the need to squonk again. This large well system also makes the Legacy much more difficult to over-squonk.
A solid non-BF pin is also included in the set for standard dripping usage.
This release has newer improved o-rings to solve the issue about users complaining about previous o-rings being so tight that the cap was difficult to remove.

This is the first Hussar Vapes product I have owned. Purchased because so many in the vape world rave about them.
Machining is exquisite; no sharp edges, no swarf, tight tolerances, etc. Popping in a coil is basically mindless it is so simple. Top cap is a little snug, but loosens once the interior gets a little juicy. And, it looks terrific.
Big airflow for a small device. I like to have available more air flow than I need, and this delivers. Air slots are vertical ovals which makes little sense for a deck designed for a horizontal coil. Still puzzled over that. You may have to fiddle with coil height to find what works best for you.
Flavor is very good. Note that this atomizer presents components of favorite e-liquids differently than several of my other atomizers. This is not necessarily bad, but you might find your favorite liquid may not taste the same in the Legacy.
Air flow is smooth with little to no whistle that is common in single-coil, dual air flow devices (i.e. I hate whistling!). It does produce a whoosing noise on intake that is different than other atomizers I use. Do not think it is noisier, but the pitch of the air intake is unique.
With the BF pin, the squonk action is unique and very slow. It will take a short period of time to regulate how hard you push on the squonk bottle to provide adequate liquid to the wick ends. I often will press my bottle firmly for 3-5 seconds to attain decent saturation.
Overall, the Legacy is a very good atomizer. It can accommodate fairly large coils, if that is your thing. It tends toward being a cloudy atomizer over a strictly flavor-type atomizer. It does not, however, trump other BF atomizers I currently use. If you wanted to enter the high-end RDA space, the Legacy might be an atomizer you should consider. If you are pretty well set with good RDAs, this one will not raise the bar.

Crazy airflow for the size of the BF atty. heat displacement is good enough to fit massive wraps around a 3.5 id. Use ultem tips to have the smoothest/ most comfortable hit. all around great little atty.
